It should ‘pop’ out easily. You should be able to see a flat surface. This is the slide where you put Saliva or cervical fluid. The specimen must be dry before you will be able to read the resulting pattern - Wait 5 to 7 minutes. 3. Carefully insert the eyepiece back into the main unit, press the illuminator button on the side of the unit and turn the eyepiece into focus. Note: If you are putting the saliva on a curved surface STOP, This is not the slide, it is the lens. Clean the Ovu-Tec lens and slide with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab using water or alcohol. Let dry, and repeat steps 1-3. Note ; The Eyepiece Should Come Out Caring for you Ovu-tec™ Microscope1. Keep away from children, small parts can be a choking hazard. 2. Troubleshooting and Battery Replacement If your Ovu-tec fails to light, it is most likely that the batteries need
cleaning. 1. To replace the batteries: Remove lid. (you should see that the top of your unit is black, and lower half is white.) 2. Carefully pull the bottom white casing (where the illuminator button is located) sometimes it’s easier to pull it with a slight twist. (now you should be holding the black unit). On the top you should see the eyepiece of the unit on the bottom you should see two copper tabs with a ‘+’ sign, this is where the batteries go. -Be careful not to lose the cap. 3. To access the batteries. hold the unit with lens facing down, you should be looking at the ‘+’. If you turn that lid counter clockwise you can now remove it and the batteries with a cloth an reinsert them. If this does not work, take the batteries to a Watch Repair Shop they should be able to test then and give you correct replacement size. Batteries are not warrantied.
